Floor Repair

Many concrete structures and building features built in the 1960’s and early 1970’s were constructed without thought for the long term affects the environment may have upon the structures….many are now in need of repair.

Acid rain and pollution can attack the concrete over a number of years and due to the lack of cover over the reinforcing steel, corrosion can cause the concrete to crack, spall and fall away. Unfortunately as the corroded concrete reinforcement is revealed, further corrosion to the concrete can occur…..and so the cycle of deterioration can continue until effective repair work is carried out.

Concrete Floor Repair

We can help…

Surface Solutions can end this problem for you. We can remove all loose and faulty concrete to expose the reinforcements so we can then ‘blast clean’ the area. Special neutralising primers are applied to stop further chemical action and the concrete repair is made good with special mortars.

The concrete can then be protected for the future by the application of an anti-carbonation finish in a colour of your choice.
