HCA cleaning![]() The only method for the long term treatment of oily floors. This method has been in use for nearly thirty years and was originally developed for the refurbishment of Traction Maintenance Shed floors for the old British Rail. A combination of Propane gas and Compressed Air are mixed in a special machine which delivers a stream of hot air around 1200 degrees Centigrade directly on to the floor surface. This burns away any surface oil and draws up the residual oil in the concrete matrix, applying a low viscosity solvent free epoxy resin whilst the floor is in this state means that as the concrete cools the epoxy is drawn into the concrete matrix and the residual heat in the concrete has the effect of speeding the cure of the epoxy resin, effectively sealing any remaining oil in the concrete matrix. This system allows any resin or cementitious finish to be applied to the prepared slab. |
